Dr Wilson was the first practitioner to use sustained-release T3 thyroid hormone. For 20 years, he has treated more than 5000 patients with T3 and trained more than 1000 physicians on how to use T3 to improve the health of patients with low thyroid function and low body temperature who have normal blood tests. He is the author of Evidence-Based Approach to Restoring Thyroid Health.1

Reversing Hypometabolic Symptoms by Normalizing Low Body Temperatures with Sustained-release T3 in Patients with Euthyroid TSH Levels

Currently, the position of the American Thyroid Association is that hypothyroidism causes symptoms of metabolic slowing due to inadequate production of thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland; it is diagnosed by a lab result of a high thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) level. While hypothyroidism is considered a chronic, incurable condition, the symptoms typically can be controlled by ingestion of ...

Frequency of Thyroid Function Disorders among a Population of Very-Low-Birth-Weight Premature Infants

Background: Thyroid function disorders, particularly congenital hypothyroidism (CHT), are important endocrine dysfunctions associated with permanent morbidities. CHT is more prevalent among preterm low-birth-weight neonates compared to term infants with normal weight. Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted on 126 very-low-birth-weight (VLBW) neonates referred to the neonatal inten...

It is necessary to recognize and treat it, when present, in order to achieve stability of metabolic control in these patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of DM on thyroid hormone levels and other biochemical variables. Materials and Methods: To determine...

The effect of hypothyroidism on the trigeminal calcitonin gene-related peptide containing motoneurons: an immunohisto-chemical study in late neonatal life

CGRP, which coexists with acetylcholine in trigeminal motoneurons, could be one of the regulatory anterograde factors responsible for the enhanced expression of AChR subunits in neuromuscular junction. It has been also shown that low level of thyroid hormone plasma concentration has influence on the transitional development of muscle fibers and related motoneurons through a sever reduction in A...
